A Little HistoryMrs. Mac's Kitchen was originally founded by Jeff MacFarland in 1976
who named it in honor of his mother and her recipes. Built in 1947 the
building was one of the few places in the Keys where you could get a
bite to eat as Grainger's Gulf Side Inn. In 1987 Jeff hired Angie as a
cook where they began working side by side, shortly after Paula was
invited to work with them. In 1988 Mrs. Mac's was purchased by Angie.
Jeff moved to Vero Beach where he has Mrs. Mac's Filling Station
restaurant. Sisters, Paula & Angie, continue to work together today.
While keeping with many original recipes we have expanded in all areas.
We have continuously been voted “The Best” in the People's Choice
Awards and Best Hometown Café along with numerous other awards and
acknowledgements. We have been a local's favorite for years and we have
grown to be famous world wide, bringing many people back year after
year. Our goal is to continue to serve award winning food with fantastic
service in a classic FL Keys atmosphere and keep you coming back for

"Great food and pie!"5 of 5 starsReviewed: June 22, 2015We came here for lunch on our first day in Key Largo! Food was great,
service was good and the key lime pie was amazing!!! We were down here
for our wedding a recommend it to everyone! About 20 more of our guests
went and loved it. Great place keep up the good work!!
"Excellent food and generous portions"5 of 5 starsReviewed: June 21, 2015One of the highlights of my trip to Key Largo and well worth the drive
from Weston. Don't be afraid of the fried alligator! The fried fish
baskets are the best, very fresh and not very oily. Don't leave without
trying the Key Lime Pie!
"A great find in Key Largo"5 of 5 starsReviewed: June 20, 2015So pleased we found this place, it's where the locals go, in fact
there's two Mrs Mac's Kitchens both a few hundred yards apart, one in
the middle of High Way 1 mile marker 99 ish going north. The other on the south bound side of High Way 1 almost opposite the other one but not quite.Anyway we went to the central one first for dinner....it was heaving but still room for us and more.Great
menu from all types local fish to all types beef, pork ect ect. Steaks
are great, and the Key Lime Pie delicious. All reasonably priced. They never stopped all the time we were there, all very lively all very friendly. We went to the other Mrs Mac's for breakfast and again very busy but great breakfasts. Loads to choose from. You must try both while in Key Largo
"Still awesome after 30 years"5 of 5 starsReviewed: June 11, 2015I lived in Key Largo in the early 80's and Mrs. Mac's was well known
then for awesome food and service at a great price. It was great to
experience it again on a family vacation last week, and see that it was
just as good if not better than I remember it. Two of us had fried
shrimp baskets, one had the mahi, and our cheeseburger connoisseur of
course had the cheeseburger. Everyone said it could not have been better
and the service from the whole staff was excellent. We went to the old
location but I am sure the other would be excellent as well.
"Best Restaurant of the trip"5 of 5 starsReviewed: June 9, 2015Not only was the food delicious, but the atmosphere was very enjoyable.
The waiter was enthusiastic and knowledgeable and they even offer full
pies to go at a much better price than per slice. I highly recommend it
for a down to earth, family oriented experience.
"Awesome food and service at a reasonable cost"
5 of 5 starsReviewed: April 13, 2015Just eaten at Mrs Macs Kitchen 2. I had the chilli with a side of rice
and fries and my wife had the Biffalo burger, both large plates of food
and good value. Quick service and attentive staff (thanks Bridgette)
excellent Vanilla milkshake and large soft drinks. Only had room to
share a desert, but the rum cake was good. We would have had Key lime
pie, but had already had that for lunch! Go try out this excellent place whilst your in Key Largo.
